自我介紹 Self-introduction:
Hello everyone! I’m contestant number 7, Alyssa Ko, 高诗诗. I am 17 years old and from Queens, New York. I am currently a rising senior in the biomedical science program at Benjamin N. Cardozo High School. In school, I’m a varsity soccer player and the vice president of the largest club, Key Club, a volunteer organization. Outside of school, I am an event coordinator for Better Chinatown, where I help plan events to celebrate our community and heritage. I’ve also volunteered at Modern Chinese School as a teacher’s assistant. Competing in this pageant as one of the youngest contestants, I want to inspire other young girls to believe they too can be on stage and achieve anything their hearts desire. Not only will this experience allow me to gain more confidence, but I can also serve as a role model to others. I believe in always trying your best and that hard work pays off.
