Hello everyone, my name is Ophelia He. I am 19 years old and come from the vibrant city of Shenzhen, Guangdong. Currently, I am a student at Yale University, pursuing a double major in computer science and history of art. I am fluent in Chinese, English, and Italian. My hobbies include singing, dancing, reading, and playing the pipa.

In life, I am gentle, down-to-earth, and careful, but I also have a daring side, unafraid to take risks and try new things. Participating in this beauty pageant is an opportunity for me to step out of my comfort zone and showcase different facets of myself. I see this competition as a learning experience that will enhance my confidence and enrich my life.

"For this video, I hosted an activity in Chinatown where I shared my collection of Chinese classical literature with elderly members of the minority community. Many of these older adults are lonely and in need of companionship and support. I found that reading with them provided not only an intellectual connection but also emotional comfort. It was deeply moving to see their passion for Chinese traditions and literature. This experience reinforced the importance of preserving and spreading our cultural heritage, while also highlighting the value of companionship and helping those who are often isolated.

通過這次活動，我在唐人街辦了一個書籍分享的小活動，與社區的老年人分享了我收藏的中國古典文學作品。我採訪了很多老人，發現他們很多人都很孤獨，需要陪伴和幫助。我發現與他們一起閱讀，不僅是一種智力上的交流，更是一種情感上的慰藉。他們對中國傳統文化和文學依然充滿熱情，這讓我非常感動。這次經歷讓我更加意識到，保護和傳播我們的文化遺產是多麼重要，同時也讓我明白陪伴和幫助這些常常被忽視的老年人有多麼珍貴。"
